The Beginning
Start-up funding of approximately $1.3 million per year for
four years was awarded through a competitive proposal process
administered by the Chancellor's Office. The Center operates as a joint
venture of its three academic partners, Metropolitan State University,
Inver Hills Community College, and Minneapolis Community &
Technical College, in consultation with business and industry
representatives. |
 |
Our Mission
The Center's mission is to help individuals and
organizations acquire the knowledge and skills needed to create and
maintain competitive information and communication systems that are
driven by sound business strategy and employ best practices in total
security. |
 |
Areas of Expertise and Focus
Rapidly evolving information and communication technology
requires equally rapid evolution of the knowledge and skills needed to
design and implement new solutions. At the same time, investment in new
technologies must be linked to sound business strategy and informed
planning, and must demonstrate a return on investment.
Strategic information systems and security are central to
business. Organizations require highly focused expertise and informed,
broad-based strategic planning. The Center helps assure that new
employees and incumbent workers possess the wide range of capabilities
that Minnesota organizations need for world-class competitiveness. |
