The Center for Strategic Information Technology and Security co-sponsored the first-ever cyber defense competition in Minnesota. It featured a presentation by the FBI on cyber crime, business information assurance and security.
This visually exciting event gave Minnesota and Wisconsin college student competitors the opportunity to solve "real-world" corporate administration and security cyber defense threats in the cyber crime lab at Inver Hills Community College.
Cyber defense student teams from five Minnesota and Wisconsin colleges: Alexandria Technical College, Inver Hills Community College, Madison Area Technical College, Minneapolis Community & Technical College, and Minnesota State Community and Technical College-Detroit Lakes participated.
In addition to the Center for Strategic Information Technology and Security, other sponsors included Adventium Labs, Black Box Network Services, Cisco Systems, Netspi, and Midwave.
