The February 16 event, IT Security: Your Career, Your Job garnered 60 registrations and seven walk-in attendees. Dr. Rick Smith, Firasat Khan, Tom Gasser, and Aaron Molenaar offered expert insider views to the audience. Kate Southwick and Sharon Boerbon Hanson presented "Securing Your IT Job." Both segments of the evening received highest marks from almost every participant.
Twenty-five Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) graduating students, alumni, faculty, and staff attended, with one member coming to the Minneapolis campus from Cambridge, Minnesota.
Attendees received a free copy of 101 Ways to Dead-end Your IT Job, and enjoyed a complimentary buffet dinner.
Michael Laho of ARCC received the door prize of a wristband flash drive and gumball machine.
