PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS
Introduction to Open Source Content Management Systems – Advance IT Minnesota is sponsoring a half-day class is designed to introduce web developers to the advantages of using an Internet Content Management System (CMS). Students will learn about the four top open-source content management systems and learn why the instructor believes Drupal is the leading contender in terms features, extensibility and relative ease of use. The IT Leadership Academy: an innovative program for IT managerial success on the job. This 3½ day instructor-led experience is designed for new and high potential candidates to focus their professional attention on strategic thinking, to align their goals to those of the business, and to improve their team leadership and management skills. The experience includes 360 degree feedback from the participants' management, peers and team members.
Executive Briefings: held to address hot topics in the IT Strategy and Security arenas with MnSCU faculty or other subject matter experts as facilitators. The first Briefing is scheduled for February 24, 2010 and will focus on the REAL Opportunities of Sustainable IT.
Applied Research and Consulting: This service will allow organizations to capitalize on the knowledge and research capabilities of the MnSCU faculty and graduate students. An Experts Directory is under construction. Organizations will be able to easily find the expertise they need for presentations, consulting and/or research.
Basic Principles of Adult Learning Theory: This booklet presents an introduction to Adult Learning Theory coupled with a practical approach to seminar preparation.
